Back in June, federal prosecutors and an attorney representing Iced Earth guitarist / founder Jon Schaffer, a former Columbus resident, who pleaded guilty to storming the US Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, asked a federal judge to set a sentencing date for January or February 2024.
According to a report by Metal Sucks, Schaffer will be sentenced on February 20, 2024. He could serve up to three-and-a-half to four-and-a-half years in prison.
Schaffer continues to be on release under the supervision of the District of Columbia Pre-Trial Services Department and has remained compliant with pre-trial release conditions
