All Things Fallen was started in 2017 by Markus Sigfridsson (Darkwater, Harmony, Lance King). On their self-titled debut album, released in 2019 via Blackoak Records, Leo Margarit (Pain Of Salvation) joined on drums, along with Erik Tordsson on lead vocals.
Shadow Way is even more melancholic and melodic, and has a darker vibe to it than the first album. It also flirts with the '70s Rainbow style, but with modern production.
Joining Markus, Leo and Erik on Shadow Way is Raphael Dafras (Edu Falschi, Almah) on bass. As on the first album, you will also find an amazing guest appearance by Maria Grigoryeva on violin. The album was mixed and mastered by Dennis Koehne (Orden Ogan, Sodom).

A caminho do ambulatório montado no estádio, a bolsa estourou.

Iron Maiden fans, tired of the meandering, bloated compositions? Longing for the speed and vibrancy of the old days, when they were still struggling to break free of London's East End
? Well then check out the debut from Vancouver's own Maiden enthusiasts. While these Canucknuckleheads' vocals won't be mistaken for "The Air Siren", the music is spot on ‘80s worship.
"Evil Eye" kicks things off, trumpeting a clarion call of influences in the opening bars, a sing-along, headbanging anthem: the first of many. Maule seem to recognize their gravel throated singer is the weakest link, so his time in the mix is (thankfully) minimalized, leaving the guitars plenty of time to play. With gritty, shouted lyrics, the abruptly ended "Ritual" keeps the Steve Harris tributes under wraps, until the extended guitar break. Infectious, repetitive chorus should make "Summorner" an in-concert favorite (if we ever get back to those days!). Ditto the "we pay in blood" refrain in their signature tune. Midway through, there's a temporary downshift, to a slow chug, until the lively guitar tandem returns to the racing tempo laid down earlier. Squarely in the middle of the running order, there's the full-on speed metal of "Red Sonja", but even here, there's time for a tasty six-string interlude (without any perceptible drop in tempo). Said flare actually brings the song to a close. "Sword Woman" was available as an online single, so for a teaser, check it out. Switching gears, "Father Time" marches to a belabored beat devoid of famed UK influences. "March Of The Dead" wanders in like-minded Visigoth territory, while disc closer "We Ride" begins with motorcycle sound effect, then maintains a mid-tempo NWOTHM mindset.
Not the most original sound, but certainly one that can find its niche under the vast metallic umbrella.
The Agony & Ecstasy Of Watain – the moniker could be seen as pretentious, but unbridled confidence is exactly what the Swedes needed to once again establish themselves as a premier black metal band. With heaps of praise and endless hype sent their way, Erik Danielsson and his legion of rebels have found inspiration with tight songwriting, enchanting melodies, and fiery aggression.
The Agony & Ecstasy could be seen as a way of how Watain meticulously melds the dark, blackened melodies with searing guitars as evidenced by “The Howling” and the chilling “Serimosa” – a truly outstanding effort of haunting instrumentation with a gripping guitar melody that showcases the skills of drummer E. Forcas (his first studio performance with Watain).
Painting landscapes of doomsday, spiritual cleansing, and reflection, the brooding “We Remain” (featuring The Devil’s Blood’s Farida Lemouchi as guest vocalist) is a philosophical hymn with a subtle rhythm and pointed drum hits to accentuate the vocals. On the other side of the spectrum, “Black Cunt” holds stunning, evil, apocalyptic riff work that gives way to the thundering, frenzied bass and guitar of “Leper’s Grace”.
At ten tracks, it’s a fully developed album at 49 minutes which shows just how far the songwriting has come. “Not Sun Nor Man Nor God” is a short, ritualistic instrumental while “Before The Cataclysm” exceeds 7 minutes as mid-paced ride into Armageddon.
While “Funeral Winter” is a bit too standard and mostly forgettable, but closer “Septentrion” hits breathtaking notes that wields a violent triumph that capitalizes on the “Ecstasy” of the album title. Their best effort since Lawless Darkness – Watain proves they are still a creative force and worthy of attention.
