EVILE: BANDA LANÇA PRIMEIRO SINGLE E FAIXA-TÍTULO DO NOVO ÁLBUM “THE UNKNOWN”

Os veteranos do thrash metal britânico, Evile, focaram suas músicas na alta velocidade do gênero em que eles se consagraram. Isso até agora, já que no primeiro single e faixa-título do novo álbum, “The Unknown“, que será lançado dia 14 de julho via Napalm Records, a banda teve outra abordagem na hora de compor o lançamento.


Ao invés dos riffs rápidos característicos do thrash, o grupo optou por uma atitude mais devagar e cadenciada. O frontman do Evile, OL Drake, explicou que o disco vindouro terá uma maneira mais introspectiva de olhar para as coisas.

Estamos realmente animados para começar a revelar a próxima página no capítulo do EVILE. Nós adotamos uma abordagem completamente diferente neste álbum e busquei inspiração internamente; me abri de uma forma que nunca pensei que faria. Sempre estivemos a 500 km/h, como no álbum anterior (Hell Unleashed), e desta vez sentimos que queríamos experimentar o extremo oposto – alguns ritmos mais lentos que jamais fizemos antes, com ganchos vocais mais melódicos e dando ao Adam mais liberdade nos solos e na composição. Tenho trabalhado em minha voz desde que mergulhei de cabeça em 2021, e trabalhamos duro por dois anos nisso, então estou animado para que todos ouçam os frutos de nosso trabalho. Estamos realmente orgulhosos do que todos nós alcançamos com este álbum. Este é aquele que espero que possa nos impulsionar a mais ouvidos e lugares onde nunca estivemos antes, para tocar para pessoas que estão constantemente nos pedindo para tocar em sua região.

De acordo com a banda, “The Unknown” conterá alguns temas pesados, incluindo: “depressão, superação de perdas e pesadelos recorrentes, autoestima e imagem, até temas mais pessoas como conviver com problemas da mente, enfrentar dificuldades na indústria da música e até mesmo as preocupações de se tornar um novo pai/mãe”.

OL Drake disse que a faixa-título, em particular, tem sido trabalhada há um tempo, tendo sido concebida originalmente quando ele já não estava mais na banda.

Foo Fighters lança novo single “Under You

Foo Fighters lançou nesta quarta-feira, 17, o novo single “Under You”.

Essa é a segunda música a ser lançada desde a morte do baterista Taylor Hawkins e fará parte do álbum But Here We Are, previsto para ser lançado dia 02 de junho.




Além de “Under You”, a banda também divulgou um link para um evento de streaming global que deve conter apresentações ao vivo das novas músicas, imagens dos bastidores e algumas surpresas. Chamado Foo Fighters Preparing Music For Concerts, o evento acontece neste domingo, 21 de maio, e pode ser acessado através deste link.

“Under You” chega um mês depois de “Rescued”, que veio a ser o primeiro single do Foo Fighters sem Taylor Hawkins. A identidade do novo baterista ainda não foi divulgada, mas é provável que a revelação aconteça durante o streaming global, uma vez que a banda retorna aos palcos já na próxima quarta-feira, 24 de maio.

KINGDOM OF TYRANTS - ARCHITECTS OF POWER

 

Architects Of Power is the debut from the Boston, MA band which includes Steel Assassin guitar duo Kevin Curran and Michael Mooney, and vocals from by Mike Munro (ex-Meliah Rage). Kingdom Of Tyrants is the spirit of US ‘80s traditional metal legends like Savatage, Armored Saint and Metal Church, both musically and aesthetically; lead off track "Unforgotten Souls" is carried by the riff, a strong voice, and melodic break post solo.

Distorted guitars fade in on "Daedalus" then setting into a mid-tempo, while "War Machine"’s crunchy riff and rhythm reminds me of German power metallers Primal Fear. Pace picks up like an Anvil song for "Diabolical", vocal follows the riffs with a triumphant drive in the namesake.

Voice is melodic and clean with less grit briefly for "Ghost Of The Industry" before moving into a Maiden-ish type gallop and movement, within the eight minutes a balance between acoustic guitar and heavier sections. Really killer musical piece and one of the two best of the bunch that even includes a Mercyful Fate like riff and progressive change using dynamics with power.


Slower pace on "The Judas Gate", "Masque Of Red Death" (one of my favorite Edgar Allen Poe stories, and movie with Vincent Price) is retold in a classic metal form with dueling guitars like the first few vicious Rumors albums, excellent shredding. "Metal Or Die", really, another band are using that word "metal" again? Includes backing chants for impact.



Overall enjoyable. There is a whole new generation of younger bands carrying the torch for traditional heavy metal forged by the architects from the ‘80s, but it's good to hear it from the perspective, reconfiguration of a couple from the old guard too.

Cavalera release re-recorded song ‘Morbid Visions’

CAVALERA have released a brand new song!



The song, a re-recording of Morbid Visions, is taken from Max and Iggor Cavalera‘s upcoming re-recording of SEPULTURA‘s first album, Morbid Visions, which is scheduled to be released in July this year, via Nuclear Blast Records.

Alongside the release of Morbid Visions, the band will also release a re-recording of SEPULTURA‘s first EP, Bestial Devastation.

Speaking about the project, Max Cavalera says, “as we get harder year after year, sometimes you’ve got to go back to where it all started! We re-recorded Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions with the amazing sound of NOW, but with its raw and timeless spirit. The artwork reflects the times we’re living in right now…. Apocalyptic as hell! We also have two new tracks with riffs from those days, remembered by heart.”

Iggor Cavalera adds, “I always felt like the recordings of our earlier work didn’t do justice to the way we performed the songs. So, this is a very special moment in our lives that we are very proud to show you real fans our true representation of the amazing records Bestial Devastation & Morbid Visions with an insane visual identity…enjoy and see you all in the pit.”

PAUL DIANNO NOVO PROJETO

 

Há exatamente um ano, em maio de 2022, o veterano vocalista Paul Di’Anno (ex-Iron Maiden), que na época ainda tentava se recuperar dos diversos problemas de saúde que o acometeram nos últimos anos, a despeito dos problemas, revelou sua vontade de continuar a fazer música. Tanto que o vocalista anunciou sua participação em um novo projeto, com músicos croatas, chamado Warhorse. Di’Anno estava residindo na cidade de Zagreb, onde fazia tratamento médico. Após lançar algumas músicas com o Warhorse, chegou a hora de apresentar o álbum de estreia e Paul Di’Anno revelou mais detalhes sobre o álbum que gravou recentemente com o Warhorse. A banda foi formada no ano passado por Di’Anno e dois guitarristas/ autores, Hrvoje Madiraca e Ante “Pupi” Pupačić. Gravado principalmente nos estúdios Pupi, em Split, Croácia, Warhorse incluirá nove canções originais e dois covers, “Precious” (Depeche Mode) e “Tequila” (The Champs).


A identidade do primeiro de vários convidados que aparecerão no debut album Warhorse será revelada no início de junho com a chegada do segundo single do projeto, a canção-título “Warhorse”. Como já dissemos, o Warhorse gravou três músicas anteriormente, duas das quais – “Stop The War” e “The Doubt Within” – foram lançadas em maio de 2022 como um single especial em DVD junto com a mensagem em vídeo de Paul para todos os fãs que compraram o single e, assim, ajudaram a aumentar fundos para sua recente operação no joelho, realizada no fim do ano. “Stop The War” foi lançada em formato de vídeo clipe oficial., que você pode relembrar ao final desta matéria. O álbum Warhorse será lançado ainda em 2023 e será acompanhado de videoclipes para todas as músicas, seguido de uma turnê mundial.
